Jun 19, 2017 Click on “Open” on the right side of the navigation bar, then choose the app you’d like to open the file with. Alternatively, you can right click on the file, then choose “More Actions,” which will open a list of compatible apps with that particular type of file. This method feels a bit faster to me, but your mileage may vary. In the lower-left corner, select the cog icon and choose Set as Default. To send a message from an account other than the default account, select the account under Inbox. Choose Preferences from the Mail menu, then click General. Or, if you're prompted to set up an email account, add your account, then choose Preferences from the Mail menu. Choose your email app from the 'Default email reader' pop-up menu. You can also set your default email app in the preferences of your third-party email app.

Changing the default email account on your iPhone makes your workflow more efficient as it will be the account that pops up when you compose a new email. It’s also the email account that’s used when sharing content with others from Safari, Apple’s other first-party apps, and third-party apps.
